I "deep" clean my brushes every 3-4 uses with bar soap and a brush mat. In between those I use isopropyl alcohol as a refresh to get the majority of old makeup off but also sanitize them. Spray on the brush and a microfibre cloth and rub around. Then Spray brush again and wait til dry. Rub again on different part of the cloth.
