Im Mai 1998 gründeten in Witten 19 Bürgerinnen und Bürger den Freundschaftsverein Tczew - Witten mit dem Ziel die in den letzten Jahrzehnten entstandenen freundschaftlichen Kontakte zur polnischen Partnergemeinde zu pflegen und weiter auszubauen.
